The Role

Common Energy is looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our Customer Service team.

We are looking for someone who can maintain our high quality of customer service, as a new member of the team focusing specifically on anything related to payments and billing. In this role, you will support the team by ensuring customers pay their past-due balances and help with updating customer payment information.

Responsibilities

• Collect outstanding payments from customers
• Update customer payment information when needed
• Assist with billing focused inquiries that come to the customer service department
• Keep accurate records and report on collection activity
• Contribute to a positive, fun work environment!
  
  Requirements
  
  Who We're Looking For
  
  • You have customer service experience (5+ years), and exceptional communication skills
  • You have collections experience (3+ years)
  • You are comfortable working with financial data and have a strong attention to detail
  • You are a fast learner, and can become an expert in our product, in order to confidently answer customer questions
  • You are a strong and patient negotiator
  • You are professional and courteous with customers
  • You have permanent authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
