Job Description:
Description:General Responsibilities/Job Summary: The position's
purpose is to gain the skills and experience required to transition
into a Business Banking Lender position. This will occur through on
the job training in the Credit Unit and in the Commercial Unit
under the direction of experienced Commercial and Credit officers.
1. Under the direction of a Business Banking Lender, perform tasks
such as:
- Compile documentation for loan submissions or annual line
renewals
- Prepare preliminary analyses for loan submissions
- Coordinate loan submissions with the credit department and
obtain additional documentation or information as requested
- Solicit information or documentation from prospects, customers,
accountants, etc.
- Respond to customer's operational requests and resolve
operational issues within the Bank
- Prepare term sheets
- Verify insurance coverage when necessary
- Ensure that proper collateral is obtained and maintained
- Performs credit checks for loan applications when
necessary
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of meeting with clients
or prospective clients 2. Under the direction of the Credit Analyst
Supervisor or appointee, perform tasks such as:
- Spreading Financial Statements
- Analyzing the key factors and important issues on a commercial
customer's balance sheet and income statement
- Analyzing the changes in a commercial customer's balance sheet
and income statement from year to year
- Utilizing key bank systems in order to access data.
- Pulling and reviewing credit and D&B reports 3. Attend and
successfully complete any internal or external training as assigned
by the Commercial or Credit Unit. 4. Actively search and analyze
portfolio for opportunities of additional products, services, and
loans. 5. Performs other duties as assigned.
PM22Requirements:Education/Training:
- BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Administration with at least 12 Accounting credits preferred, or
equivalent knowledge and/or banking experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills demonstrated through both work
experience and academics.
- Well-developed PC skills, particularly with Excel.
- Strong verbal skills and the ability to write technical
documents.
- History of community or extracurricular involvement that
demonstrates leadership or interpersonal skills is a plus. History
that demonstrates sales potential is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with
all levels of employees and types of customers
- Sales orientation and the ability and willingness to initiate
business development activities Experience:
- At least 1 + years banking or sales experience preferred.
Required Certification/Licenses:
- N/A Travel Requirements:
- Localized travel within the bank's footprint with occasional
overnight travel to obtain training. Willingness to be based in
