JOB SUMMARYAbout the Position: This is a Management Assistant
(Office Automation), GS-0344-05, position at Tobyhanna Army Depot.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the
DHA for Domestic Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major
Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in the Department of Defense
to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the
competitive service.JOB DESCRIPTION
- Participate in the management of the department by performing
routine administrative and miscellaneous clerical work.
- Use a computer to produce correspondence, memorandums,
publications, and reports, in final form and update or revise
existing databases or spreadsheets.
- Prepare travel authorizations and vouchers for supervisor using

on organizational needs.
- Receive calls and greet visitors, ascertain the nature of the
call or visit, and direct caller or visitor to the appropriate
- Proofread all incoming and outgoing correspondence for proper
grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and conformance to

experience and/or education requirements described below.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including
volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace
Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional;
philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including
volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your
relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your
transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which
includes: 1) Utilizing a computer to prepare various types of
documents; 2) Inputting and retrieving data from electronic filing
systems and databases; 3) Reviewing documents for correct
formatting and grammar; AND 4) Assisting in the performance of time
and attendance duties. This definition of specialized experience is
typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in
the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education
above the high school level obtained in an accredited business,
secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or
university. (Transcripts must be provided) OR Combination of
Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience
may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed
percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the
percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of
experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education
beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two
percentages. (Transcripts must be provided) Proficiency Required:
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can
type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or
fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of
competency in the following areas: Customer Service Manages and
