position is eligible for telework which is currently one day per

Broadway HOURS OF WORK: 8: 0 0 AM to 5:00 PM or as required (7.5HR/
DAY) JOB FAMILY: PSC GRADE: 003 SALARY RANGE: $ 82,075 to $ 102,594
DEADLINE: Open Until Filled S ummary The Contracts Specialist Level
2 is responsible for supporting procurements relating to the MTA’s
capital program. This includes supporting the award of $2-3 billion
in new construction contracts per year and sup po rting the manag
emen t of claims and changes on contracts valued at approximately
$5 billion. The Contracts Specialist Level 2 is the second level in
the three levels of the Contracts Specialist series. This title is
responsible for supporting all levels of staff within the
Construction Contracts division. Responsibilities Supports
Construction Contracts division staff with the award and
documentation of construction - related contracts, including AB and
IFP contracts, AB bidding, design-build, progressive design - build
and public - private partnerships . Supports Construction Contracts
division with researching, standardizing, and implementing standard
and digital procurements across MTA C&D . Ensures the MTA
C&D Contracts website is accurate and that procurements, bid
results and contract awards are correctly displayed As required,
provide status updates on relevant procurement-related tasks and
activities to senior management . Ensures that project files
properly document the procurement and decision-making process to
promote the efficient operation of the Contracts Department . Logs
contract awards in a timely and accurate manner for easy tracking
and reporting Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering,
Finance, Government Contracting or a related field . Minimum of
three (3) years related experience in contracts and procurement.
Competencies: Knowledge of public sector procurement management
principles, government project administration, and government bid
process . Knowledge of contract terminology, terms and conditions,
procurement, and construction management (including the ability to
interpret contract documents and schedules . ) Knowledge of
relevant local, state, and federal laws, including federal and
state procurement laws, rules, and regulations. Strong
interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organizational,
negotiation and communication skills . Advanced knowledge and use
of Microsoft Office Suite and document management software . Other
