Job Description Job Description Located in Lancaster, PA Salary: 18-20 Door Technician Lancaster, PA $18-20/HR We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential and Commercial Door Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of overhead doors, operators, and related equipment for homes and businesses throughout the Lancaster area. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills. Welding experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities Install, service, and repair residential and commercial overhead doors, including sectional doors, rolling steel doors, high speed doors, and automatic operators Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on doors and related systems Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical lifting equipment safely and efficiently Troubleshoot and replace parts such as springs, cables, motors, tracks, and panels Communicate clearly with customers regarding service recommendations and repair options Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and job completion details Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and industry best practices Provide on call or emergency service when scheduled Assist with light fabrication or reinforcement work when needed; welding experience may be utilized Qualifications Prior experience as a door technician, installer, mechanic, or similar trade preferred Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights, on ladders, or on lifts Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to read measurements, blueprints, and installation instructions Welding experience (MIG or Stick) preferred but not required Excellent communication and customer service skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team 1706-4 Express Office: Lancaster 1380 Harrisburg Pike Suite A Lancaster, PA 17601
