Cargill seeks a skilled Electrician to join our Technical & Maintenance team, helping maintain our manufacturing facilities to ensure the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and sustainability. This role is pivotal in supporting Cargill’s mission to nourish and sustain the global community by ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are operational and in excellent condition. You will work in a dynamic environment where professionalism and teamwork are at the core of our values. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial facilities. Diagnose and repair issues with electrical equipment. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Work with project managers on the design of electrical systems. Lead and instruct other less experienced technicians or apprentices. Report and liaise regularly on any progress and completion of projects to senior management. Profound knowledge of electrical systems including planning additions or modifications on secondary circuits. Ability to use electrical and hand tools (wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
