POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Quality team in Scranton, PA is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. This role is responsible for quality improvement activities that promote consistent and predictable product to customers. The successful candidate will partner with other departments to solve Quality issues and improve performance, serve as the technical Quality resource in matters of product testing and product specifications, and use statistical analysis techniques to evaluate and improve test methods and inspection plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 
  
• Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for product related concerns
  
• Lead continual improvement activities to enhance the company quality system
  
• Conduct relevant quality training for manufacturing employees to properly interpret quality standards, and support quality procedures
  
• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality procedures, inspection criteria and protocols
  
• Investigate customer quality issues through sound root cause analysis techniques and work with the appropriate parties within the organization to assure solutions are implemented and maintained
  
• Develop statistical data for the organization to measure quality
  
• Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  
• Evaluate and improve product testing methods and inspection plans to ensure customer needs are met
  
• Conduct internal audits of the quality system
  
• Develop and implement procedures to support manufacturing's ability to conform with identified internal quality standards
  
• Coordinate external testing of material as required
  
  
  POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  
  • 
    
  • 3+ years quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
    
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering discipline
    
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, knowledge of QC measuring techniques relating to the plastics industry, and knowledge of Statistical Analysis techniques.
    
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis software.
