Cloud Platform Engineer I

Key Responsibilities -

• Design and implement scalable cloud solutions and services
• Automate infrastructure lifecycle, configuration management, and issue remediation utilizing infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
• Evaluate automation opportunities and solutions for complex cloud infrastructure challenges, such as cost optimization, security, and scalability
• Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure deployment best practices, such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and immutable infrastructure
• Onboard the enterprise applications into Azure, develop, document, and implement cloud strategy using our IaC stack
• Understand customer requirements (functional and non-functional) and KPIs
• Troubleshoot and resolving production incidents, problems, and service requests
• Identify trends of new Cloud, DevOps, and IaC capabilities by following industry publications, attending conferences, and participating in online communities. Integrate new tools and practices by evaluating their effectiveness and developing training materials for team members
• Produce high-quality, well-written technical documentation, including design plans, implementation diagrams, data flow mappings, and as-built documents, that are clear, concise, and easy to understand
• Work effectively with other team members, customers, and key stakeholders
• Be a positive force within the team and ready to roll up your sleeves
  Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills -Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required, major in Computer Science or related discipline strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with deployments to Cloud platform (Azure is preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in developing API and scripting using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and support
  • Experience with IT Automation or configuration management
  • Experience with agile methodologies (SAFe is preferred)
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience working with non-technical business partners to deliver solutions
  • Experience in support and troubleshooting of diverse enterprise technology systems
  • Well organized and able to work independently with minimal direction -Preferred: -
    • Certifications in any of these areas: Azure, Agile/Scrum certified, RedHat, Microsoft
    • 2+ years of experience with IaC toolsets such as Terraform, Packer, Ansible, or Chef
    • 3+ years of Linux / Unix experience
    • Understanding of Kubernetes and container concepts and technology
    • Knowledge of development languages: .NET, REST APIs, JSON, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
