Job Description:

Standard Dose is looking for a seasoned Director of Paid Search to join the growth team headquartered in our NYC office. This individual will be a key contributor to the success of the aggressively-growing Standard Dose business, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Partnerships and working closely with the brand and e-commerce teams.

This position will be responsible for managing and optimizing all facets of growth. The ideal candidate is someone who is already experienced running SEM campaigns for digital-first retailers and can confidently develop, implement, and report on strategy, planning, and execution in paid search with an understanding of how it impacts the business overall. Candidates must be well versed in managing paid media budgets, including allocating budget across initiatives.

The candidate should have strong management experience with the ability to mentor each of the positions under them (i.e. growth managers and coordinators). The role requires creative energy and a passion for working in performance driven environments while fostering strong team morale and high performance.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Plan and direct execution of effective and measurable paid search campaigns with a demonstrated understanding of how they affect other channels and the business overall
  • Spearhead research, analysis, and presentation of tactical recommendations, including but not limited to:
    • Budget recommendations
    • Bidding recommendations
    • Audience recommendations
    • Copy & Asset recommendations
    • Landing Page/UX testing
    • Strategize new customer segments, targets, and marketing strategies to maximize the conversion rate and LTV/CAC ratio
    • End to end planning, optimization of, and reporting on paid search campaigns/channels to meet objectives and KPIs. Responsibilities include structuring and building campaigns, keyword research, bid adjustments, and ad copy testing
    • Responsible for all reporting - daily, monthly, and quarterly KPI reports that indicate health and performance of all Paid Search initiatives and recommended strategies for improvement
    • Ensure digital marketing campaigns are driving qualified traffic and overall program performance while improving ROAS
    • Monitor latest trends in digital advertising to improve campaign performance, provide recommendations on how to best leverage new tools and services, and track performance of new implementation and strategy
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with other members within the organization (in particular brand and buying teams to better understand product performance and to produce ads that drive results)
    • Maintain, enforce, and evoke the company brand standards

      Requirements
      • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising/marketing and/or e-commerce marketplace is a must
      • Management-level experience running Paid Search campaigns is a must
      • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or like field
      • Expert level of knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, GDN, YouTube, GTM
      • Fundamental knowledge of Google Analytics and/or other reporting platforms
      • Basic knowledge of all digital marketing channels and their potential impact on paid media performance (Email, Social Media, Organic, Affiliate)
      • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets/Numbers and the ability to understand and interpret numerous key performance indicators
      • Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
      • Ability to think and execute quickly while maintaining attention to detail and incorporating feedback
      • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment; must be adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary
      • Self-motivator with collaborative spirit
      • Passion for creative problem solving and a desire to learn
      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
      • Retail/brand experience and an interest in the wellness space considered a plus
      • SEO experience is a plus
      • Experience running Search for online marketplaces is a plus
