Director of Workforce Planning & Analysis The Director of Workforce Planning & Analysis is responsible for the effective strategic management of human capital for staffing ID Logistics operations in the USA. This role deals heavily with tactical vendor management as well as the creation and implementation and active management of staffing metrics. This executive will lead the staffing and strategic labor planning for the entire US ID Logistics organization. There are two components to this role: 1) Demand Planning -- establish better analytics and understand the organization's fluctuating staffing needs, while coaching and collaborating with general managers on how to achieve this at each location; and 2) Execution -- implement and execute strategic staffing plans while effectively addressing compliance, turnover, and retention. This high--visibility, individual contributor role is designed for an accomplished operations and labor planning executive, with the dynamic personality and emotional intelligence to flourish in a semi--matrixed environment. This individual will own the strategic development and execution of the organization's labor strategy including both Permanent and Temporary Labor. He/she will work closely with the Chief People Officer and the SVP, Distribution and Operations to bring rigor, discipline, and order to establishing labor planning strategies and metrics. Director of Workfoce Planning & Analysis Responsibilities: * Works closely with the ID Logistics management team to discuss long-range personnel needs; prepares and implements staffing strategy and recruitment program to meet those needs. * Manages relationships with staffing vendors and serves as a liaison between site management and vendors as needed; provides leadership in planning temporary staffing needs and monitors vendor performance in partnership with Purchasing. * Reviews and analyzes department reports concerning recruitments, interviews, hires, and turnover; enhances reporting and analytic capabilities within the Human Resources and Operations functions. * Develops and presents recommendations for improvement of the organization's recruitment policies, processes, and practices. * Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance Director of Workforce Planning & Analysis Skills and Competencies: * The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of best practices in recruitment policy and procedure, and a solid grasp of fundamental of employment law (EEO, ADA, AA, FMLA, etc.). In addition, he/she will be well versed in today's most effective compensation practices. Ability to foster long-term relationships with internal teams, external partners, and candidates. * Experience with HRIS, including Applicant Tracking Systems with an ability to analyze needs for implementation. * Excellent business acumen, strong strategic planning, and analytic skills.
