Job Description:Join our wonderful resort as a key member of our leadership team! At Split Rock Resort, our Front Desk is the face of the resort. Our Front Desk team is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest services from the moment someone walks through the door. To excel as the leader of the front desk, you must be an excellent communicator, have the ability to multitask, & have an outgoing personality.Responsibilities: Maintain information on prices, rates, specials, packages, programs, etc, while ensuring all staff are trained in all areas Working knowledge of all facets of front desk department Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures Provide training of Front Desk and Night Audit team members Audit Front Desk work/tasks Check all Front Desk transaction and make corrections if necessary Schedule staff members based on company needs and occupancy Working knowledge of all facets of front desk department Generate reports as requests by senior leadership Prepares and submits audit findings and makes recommendations to management. Perform all tasks of the front desk as needed to facilitate service Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures Maintain excellent communication with the housekeeping & maintenance departments Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location Ensure required identification is taken from guests at check-in Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns Record guest preferences in the system Examines department activities for compliance with management plans and policies. Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty. Other tasks and duties as requested and/or assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in hospitality or related field; or an equivalent level of education and/or experience. Knowledge of training criteria specific to hospitality industry and/or adult learning. At least two years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field. Must have a valid driver's license in state of employment.
