Position Summary:Penn Foster Carrus is seeking a Procurement
Director to build and execute strategic procurement practices
across the Penn Foster Carrus enterprise. The Director will develop
and execute sourcing strategies that deliver the best performance
at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), manage supplier
relationships and negotiations, and drive productivity
improvements. The Director will collaborate with all functions
across Penn Foster Carrus to identify systems that should be
considered for consolidation, run high quality RFP processes, and
drive a mix of vendors that meet business needs and reduce overall
spend.Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for leading and motivating procurement organization
and stakeholders
- Develop and evolve the procurement processes across the
enterprise to drive cost savings, process excellence, and optimal
business solutions.
- Develop a robust sourcing, supplier selection, and negotiation
process.
- Develop and implement ideas to model and optimize Total Cost of
Ownership.
- Work with senior leadership team to translate strategy to
sourcing decisions. Regularly communicate realized savings,
business benefits, and process updates for most complex
decisions.
- Work closely with key stakeholders and functional areas of the
business to understand and satisfy needs and requirements.
- Help identify areas of overlapping sourcing and drive to
solutions across organizational groups.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are
met and shepherd contracts through execution.
- Partner with legal to understand complex requirements around
legal entities, accreditation, and business compliance that need to
be considered as part of procurement and contracting process.
- Create and manage a process for tracking contract start/end
dates that allows for renewal/cancellation in a timely and
effective manner.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics,
business administration, or engineering
- Master's degree or equivalent a plus
- 10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility. 5+
years of management experience
- 3+ years managing strategic sourcing, including experience in
multi-business unit (or multiple division) organization
- Experience leading and facilitating change
- Highest levels of integrity
- Masterful relationship builder and negotiator. Able to balance
short-term and long-term approaches.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret dataEqual Employment
