ROLE: - Maintenance/Facilities Management Supervisor

ATTRACTIVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:


Bachelor's Degree (required) or MS Degree (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering field)
Experience (5+ -years) related to -equipment installation and maintenance
Experience (5+ years) related to facility maintenance
Proven leadership and supervisory experience (5+ years)
Proven experience with project planning and scheduling
Exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Demonstrated communication skills (written / oral) including the ability to read/speak English
Ability and willingness to work in a production floor setting with moderate noise
Ability and willingness to work in fast-paced, matrix structured organization


SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES: -This Supervisor of Maintenance/Facilities Management is expected - (but not limited) to---


Planning - Prepares project estimates, cost reports, schedules, budgets for the maintenance functions.
Planning - Supports the development of investment plans for production equipment, physical plant and infrastructure.
Design and Development - Supports activities to develop, design, and construct process machinery and equipment.
Design and Development - Supports activities regarding new construction and modification of the physical plant and infrastructure.
Design and Development - Keeps informed about new technical developments.
Design and Development - Submits proposals for improvement of the physical plant, infrastructure, machinery, and equipment.
Design and Development - Recommends the introduction of new procedures as well as the purchase and use of new infrastructure, machinery, and equipment.
Maintenance and Repair - Directs continuous maintenance of physical plant, infrastructure, process machinery and equipment.
Maintenance and Repair - Plans and conducts special examinations of machinery, equipment, and processes to determine the causes of failures and implement corrective actions. -
Maintenance and Repair - Plans and coordinates both internal trades labor and external contractors in the completion of installation, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks.
Maintenance and Repair - Plans and coordinates the preventive and predictive maintenance program for process machinery, equipment, and physical plant infrastructure.
Facility Management - Oversees buildings and grounds maintenance, recommends maintenance and facility design modifications and plans and coordinates installations and refurbishments.
Facilities Management - Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
Facilities Maintenance - Manages and reviews maintenance and facility related service contracts.
Facilities Management - Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
Supervision/Leadership - Supervises, leads, supports and motivates the employees in his/her areas (maintenance shop, electrical shop, mason shop, and metalsmith shop) of responsibility, i.e. performance appraisals, succession planning, personnel development, and training measures.
IMSU - Responsible to ensure that his or her employees are aware of and follow established policies, select employees who are properly qualified and trained and set an example for his or her employees by actively participating in improving safety and the environment.
Hazardous Waste - Responsible to ensure and oversee that only trained employees in hazardous waste are utilized to perform the following duties and activities: hazardous waste activities include adding hazardous waste to accumulation containers, removing waste from accumulation containers, transporting hazardous waste to or from accumulation points, daily inspection of satellite hazardous waste accumulation areas, cleanup of small spills of hazardous waste.
