Job Description:

As a Solution Delivery Manager, you will lead a dedicated application group, overseeing the building, configuration, maintenance, enhancement, and decommissioning of applications. The Solution Delivery Manager will be the driving force behind the vision, objectives, and scope of projects/applications, providing policy-level direction regarding standards and budgetary constraints.Solution Delivery Manager Key Responsibilities:* Conduct high-level business systems analysis and project management activities, including planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining business applications and computer systems.* Evaluate customer and business process requirements, analyze workflow and data structures, and implement solutions that align with the company's mission, values, and goals.* Collaborate closely with business units to develop detailed business requirements and robust business case justifications for new IT system projects.* Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure project success and user needs are met.* Create and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation related to your area of responsibility.* Define resources and schedules for project/application implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.* Develop comprehensive systems plans that align with business drivers and goals.* Prepare technical designs and manage workload and costs for various business application developments.* Determine when external support is required and oversee the selection and contracting of their services.* Continuously review and analyze current system areas to identify improvements and justify their implementation.* Manage the efficiency and effectiveness of team members, ensuring they are challenged, motivated, and trained to meet their responsibilities effectively.* Supervise technical/support staff as required, participating in hiring, evaluating, training, disciplining, and recommending discharge staff as necessary.* Ensure quality assurance and the production of well-tested deliverables.* Prepare project proposals and budgets, perform analysis for new technologies and system enhancements, and recommend budget items.* Ensure all application designs consider interoperability with other systems, integrated workflow, and controlled processing.* Support the early identification of risks for each IT activity and establish clear processes for expedited risk mitigation.Solution Delivery Manger Areas of Focus:* Business Relationship Building: Collaborate and align with business management, develop a working understanding of each business function, communicate business strategies and priorities to IT, ensure business sponsorship, involvement, and awareness in all aspects of their projects.* Project Management: Develop necessary scoping, requirements, and designs for new projects, support the technical designing of IT solutions, advise on options, risks, costs, business cases, and alternative solution ideas, manage project stakeholders and project sponsors requirements, project billing, finances, and deliveries.Not ready to apply?
