team creates impactful community outcomes and positions Capital One

investments (e.g. grants, skills, loans)Delivering insights, advice
and resources that inform Capital One's products and
servicesActivating the capabilities of associatesThe Community
Impact and Investment team supports Capital One through leading
enterprise volunteerism, conducting market research, fostering
community relationships, grant making, originating Community
Development Financial Institution (CDFI) loans and partnering with
and advising Lines of Business (LOBs).The Opportunity and
Role:Community Impact and Investment is on a multiyear
transformation journey to increasingly align business strategy and
social impact; launch new, different, and more holistic approaches
to investing in our communities; use Capital One's volunteer time
and talent in increasingly strategic ways; and use data, analytics,
research, and inclusive design to inform more targeted and
actionable consulting to our business partners on topics related to
a broad view of financial inclusion.We're seeking a talented and
energetic Director, Project Management to join our Associate
Enablement team, leading Social Impact Volunteering (SIV). The SIV
team is charged with fostering a culture of service and
volunteering across the enterprise by building and managing
large-scale programs (e.g. Pro Bono, Coding Academies, Job
Readiness, Board Readiness and Financial Literacy) to empower our
"mission forward" associate base to engage with the community. This
is a team of changemakers who seek to empower our associate base to
give back by meeting our associates where they are, and delivering
the programming and tools they need to easily mobilize their
interests, talents and skills in the community.You may be required
to travel up to 20% of the year.In this role, you'll have the
opportunity to work on the following areas:Focus on Efficiency
- You'll start with the data and pursue pathways for how the team
can make an even greater impact through enhancements of existing
programming.
- You'll work in partnership with the internal Activation team to
inform how we build programs that are efficient and can sustainably
scale.
- You'll actively seek out efficiencies in existing process and
technology solutions to ensure your team is focused on delivering
the highest impact work with ease and agility.Human Centered
- You'll be focused on understanding where our associates are
most interested in engaging in our high-impact programs.
- You'll partner with teams across the company to better
understand how our programs can complement the totality of the
associate experience.
- You'll turn these insights into actionable strategies that will
define the priorities for your team and rally your stakeholders to
your vision.
- You'll own and prioritize volunteer programming that helps to
deliver on business outcomes and a desire to ensure that our
associates thrive while at Capital One.Running the team with a

- You'll learn about the business priorities and determine where
our programs can assist with meeting or enhancing business
objectives, especially around associate experience.
- You'll flex your consultative skills to determine how best to
partner and advise on how a team can achieve greater societal
impact through the implementation of skills-based programming.
- You'll find opportunities to grow our Pro Bono and skills based
programming in a way that enables more of our associates to
participate and engage in ways that meet the needs of the
associate, the nonprofit and the community.
- You'll define KPIs for your programs and interaction models and
will be responsible for measuring and tracking to those measures,
with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data
dictates.
- You'll regularly evaluate and improve the efficiency of our
community engagement approach, as well as the operational model

goals.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a for-profit
company.
- At least 3 years of experience in program management or project
management, or a combination.
- At least 5 years of experience in people leadership.Preferred
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of human centered design experience.
- At least 3 years of product launch experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in process management.
- At least 1 year of experience in volunteerism, talent
engagement, or associate morale experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with community organizing,
nonprofit, or political experience.
