Job Description:
Responsibilities $500 New Hire Bonus Primary Function Under the
general supervision of the Practice Manager performs reception,
clerical and data entry duties to facilitate and provide quality
patient care in an out-patient setting. May communicate with
patients ranging in age from 0 to 100+. Responsibilities
- Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative
Criteria in order to make AJH the hospital of choice for Patients
and Employees
- Maintains fiscal integrity by either collecting and recording
charges and payments in computer or posting payments in computer.
Reconciles day sheet and totals monies collected to ensure
appropriate payments are received and data collection/statistical
information is accurate. Run end of day reports as appropriate
- Uses good guest relations and telecommunication skills to
greet, check-in, and checkout patients to gather accurate
demographic and insurance information for processing of patient
visits
- Facilitates the HMO referral process to maintain compliance
with managed care guidelines.
- Uses good communication skills (verbal and written) to
prioritize and relay pertinent information to appropriate
individuals
- Performs clerical duties using good organizational skills to
service the needs of the patients/staff/physicians and others
- Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and
Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 years medical office preferred License, Certification, and
Registration:
- As of July 1, 2011 a valid Drivers License is required for
practices with multiple offices. Other Requirements:
- Professional conduct and appearance, interpersonal
communication skills, organizational skills, good phone and
computer skills, medical terminology preferred.
- Proficiency with Epic and Microsoft Word. Conditions of
Employment Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at
