Performs and reports various analyses from multiple specimen sources. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Job Duties

  Position Details$12,500 SIGN ON INCENTIVE FOR QUALIFIED APPLICANTS! -As a generalist with our medical laboratory team automated testing lab, you'll work in multiple areas and refine your skills through time spent in -blood bank, toxicology, urinalysis, chemistry, hematology, and more! -As a member of the laboratory team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV), you'll support a 275+ bed -Level I trauma and comprehensive stroke center. This role will do automated, semi-automated, and manual testing in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.You'll work with state-of-the-art automated testing equipment and support quality control measures, troubleshoot instrumentation, and verify results on front-end processing equipment.Benefits start on day one -of employment and include comprehensive health coverage (including fertility, IVF, and adoption support), generous PTO, 5% retirement contribution, and more!   • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful completion of an -ASCP/NAACLS-accredited -Medical Technology program OR; -
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP categorical certification OR; -
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory -
  • HEWMedical Lab Technician: -
    • Associate degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) -Military experience will be considered. US Army 68K Medical Laboratory Specialist, US Navy Medical Laboratory Technician, US Air Force Medical Laboratory Apprentice. -
      EducationBachelor's Degree-Business Administration/Management (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Medical Technology (Preferred)
      ExperienceMinimum of 1 year-Laboratory (Preferred)
