Practice Overview: LVHN Pocono is a 230 bed nonprofit community hospital in East Stroudsburg, PA, and has a 41-bed emergency department that records over 80,000 annual patient visits, 10 new surgical suites and a large ambulatory surgical area. LVHN Pocono is a Joint Commission-Certified Primary Stroke Center (CSC), with Gold Plus certification by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, and serves as a spoke site for Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, which has been a Joint Commission-Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) since 2012, and with the distinction of having been the third Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) to be certified in the nation, the first in Pennsylvania, and recently achieving our fifth Joint Commission CSC recertification. The stroke neurologists at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest cover all of the hub telestroke sites in the network, including LVH Pocono. The Greater East Stroudsburg Area is located in northeastern Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains and provides a choice between small town, suburban and rural communities that all have an excellent quality of life and moderate cost of living. • Flexible schedule typically M-F 8:00am to 4:30pm, including 1:4 weekend per month

Job Qualifications:
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
