Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. This role involves acquiring and analyzing imaging data as requested by licensed practitioners and ensuring optimal patient care and safety while adhering to established protocols. Responsibilities - Ensure correct orders are obtained, confirm patient identification and preparation for exams, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality. - Utilize appropriate imaging protocols and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety, in line with ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) principles. - Administer medications through vascular access as prescribed while documenting related activities in compliance with regulations. - Evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality, ensuring archival storage or data transfer is conducted appropriately. - Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers in magnetic resonance practices. - Assist licensed practitioners in magnetic resonance interventional procedures as needed. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and ARRT-MR or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). - Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and ARRT-MR. - Basic Life Support Certification. - Minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required. - Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required); Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Preferred).
