Partner Profile Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center
Wilkes-Barre is located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Its metro
area is home to more than 563,000 residents. It lies in the Wyoming
Valley and along the Susquehanna River, 18 miles southwest of
Scranton. The local economy is powered by sales, transportation,
administrative support and material moving sectors. Wilkes-Barre is
served by several interstate highways, Luzerne County

III NICU is staffed 24/7 by neonatologists, neonatal nurse
practitioners, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. GWV

Date: November 2023 12 or 24 Hour Shifts: 24 hour Hospitalists to
Provide GYN Coverage: Yes –Emergent Hospitalists Required to
Perform Circumcisions: No Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes
First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes Hospitalists to
Backup Midwives: No Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: No
Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes (OB/GYN ED Call and
hospital hospitalist and CNM) Hospital Details NICU Level: Level
III Total Annual Hospital Deliveries: 2,000 Estimated Deliveries
for Hospitalists (monthly): 50-60 MFM onsite: Yes In house
anesthesia - Yes Residency Program & Type: Yes – Family medicine
residents rotate on L&D floor Additional details: Will work
alongside hospital-employed hospitalist and CNM. They will provide
