This full-time role offers rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, and comes with exceptional financial incentives for qualified candidates. /n Sign-On Bonus Details: /n /n - $12,000 for therapists with 0–1 year of experience (2-year commitment) /n - $20,000 for therapists with 1 years of experience (2-year commitment) /n /n /n Who We’re Looking For: /n We welcome Respiratory Therapists at all career stages, including: /n /n - Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) /n - Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) /n - Senior Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) /n /n Final title and compensation are based on your education, experience, and certifications. /n /n What You’ll Do: /n As a Respiratory Therapist, you’ll provide life-saving care and support to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. You’ll work under physician direction to deliver advanced therapies and interventions across a variety of settings, including: /n /n - Operating Rooms (OR), Emergency Department (ED), Cath Lab, and Transport /n - Administering Nitric Oxide (NO), Tracheal Gas Insufflation (TGI), and mechanical ventilation /n - Performing bronchoscopy, ABG lab troubleshooting, pulmonary function tests, EEG, EKG, stress testing, and more /n - Leading respiratory care procedures and mentoring students and staff /n - Responding to code situations and assisting with patient transport /n /n You may also serve as a Lead Respiratory Therapist when needed, supporting team coordination and clinical excellence. /n /n Why Join Us? /n /n - Competitive compensation and benefits /n - Career growth and leadership opportunities /n - Supportive, collaborative team environment /n - Meaningful work that makes a difference every day /n /n /n Ready to take the next step in your respiratory therapy career? Apply today and be part of a team that values your expertise and dedication. /n - Must be a graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program. /n - Associate’s degree is preferred. /n /n - If you do not have an Associate’s degree, you must meet one of the following: /n - Have 5 to 7 years of respiratory care experience, or /n - Hold a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification. /n /n - Bachelor’s degree is preferred. /n - Must have at least 2 years of total respiratory care experience, including 1 year in critical care. /n - Within 3 months of hire, you must select and get approval for one department-approved project. /n /n - This project must be completed during each annual performance review period. /n /n /n /n Licensure, Certifications & Clearances: /n All Employees: /n /n - Must have CPR certification that meets AHA standards, including both classroom and hands-on components, within 30 days of hire. /n /n If Practicing in Pennsylvania: /n /n - Must have a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in Pennsylvania. /n - Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certified by the NBRC. /n /n - If you earned your RRT after July 1, 2002, you must maintain certification per NBRC requirements. /n /n /n /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /n - Osteopathic Respiratory Care OR Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) /n - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) /n - Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal /n - Act 33 with renewal /n - Act 34 with renewal /n - Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal /n /n UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
