Schedule Evenings, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. Job Description Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists are responsible for the use of radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform magnetic resonance imaging and acquire and analyze data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Responsibilities - Ensure correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified, and clinical history is documented while respecting confidentiality. - Utilize appropriate imaging protocols and optimize technical factors while prioritizing patient safety and applying ALARA principles. - Prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications in accordance with laws and institutional policy. - Evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality, verifying archival storage and data transfer when applicable. - Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers. - Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risks to patients and staff. - Assist licensed practitioners with magnetic resonance interventional procedures as needed. - Fully proficient in all assigned routine and complex job duties. - Participate in quality or process improvement activities within the modality. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required). - Minimum of 2 years of related work experience (Required). - Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT. - Basic Life Support Certification. - Additional certifications in Nuclear Medicine as applicable.
