Schedule Weekender 3x12's evenings Job Description The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist is responsible for utilizing radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. This role involves performing magnetic resonance imaging, acquiring, and analyzing data necessary for diagnosis, as requested by a licensed practitioner. Responsibilities - Ensure correct orders are obtained and patients are properly identified and prepared for exams. - Utilize appropriate imaging protocols while maximizing patient safety and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable). - Prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications as per federal and state regulations. - Evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality and ensure appropriate storage and transfer of data. - Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers. - Assist licensed practitioners in magnetic resonance interventional procedures. - Participate in quality or process improvement activities. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 2 years of related work experience required. - Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) and (ARRT)-MR or certification by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). - Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and (ARRT)-MR is required. - Basic Life Support Certification from the default issuing body is required.
