Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range: $5780 - $6850 per week (estimated) Gastroenterology Job Details Location: Williamsport, PA 17701 – Experience Pennsylvania healthcare jobs in a city with small-town charm, outdoor recreation, and a thriving arts scene. Assignment Type: Locum tenens physician contract Start Date: January 2, 2026 End Date: April 3, 2026 (additional dates may be available after March) Schedule: Block scheduling with 24-hour call coverage and daily rounding. Typical blocks begin Friday at 5pm and end the following Friday at 5pm or 8am. Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (with 24-hour call coverage) Hours Per Week: Approximately 36 Gastroenterology Physician Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology (MD or DO) Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license (PA physician jobs only; not accepting licensure candidates) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in gastroenterology practice Ability to provide 24-hour call coverage and perform inpatient rounding Excellent communication and teamwork skills Gastroenterology Physician Responsibilities Provide 24-hour call coverage for gastroenterology services during assigned blocks Conduct daily inpatient rounding, collaborating with physician assistants and hospital staff Perform 4-6 outpatient endoscopy procedures per day, including screening colonoscopies Respond to consults and manage emergent GI cases as needed Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population Apply now to join our healthcare team in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and advance your gastroenterology career with this locum tenens physician job!
