WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Paramedic for a local contract job in Paterson, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Paramedic Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. This role involves providing advanced pre-hospital care to patients in emergency situations and ensuring safe and efficient transport. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Job Function: Day Shift or Night Shift. 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Respond to 911 emergency calls and provide advanced life support in pre-hospital settings. Assess patient conditions and administer appropriate medical interventions, including: Intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), intranasal, oral, and topical medications. Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Document patient care and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations. Participate in future Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU) operations for critical care interfacility transfers. Job Requirements:: Current Paramedic certification/licensure (state-specific requirements apply). 1 year of pre-hospital experience (hospital-only experience does not meet requirements). Proven experience in medication administration for various medical and trauma emergencies, including pediatric patients. Strong knowledge of emergency protocols and advanced life support techniques.
