Job Description Job Description Shift Details Days - 5 x 8 hours About the Position Tompkins County is seeking a Medical Director – Mental Health to lead our community mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services . Provide psychiatric assessments , consultations , court evaluations ??, and supervise clinical staff ???????? while shaping high-impact programs for the community. Key Responsibilities: Conduct outpatient & emergency psychiatric assessments and treatment Perform court evaluations and coordinate with law enforcement & courts ?? Supervise physicians & clinical staff, ensuring high-quality care ? Develop policies, procedures & training programs Collaborate with community agencies and educational programs Contribute to program evaluation & accountability systems Requirements Qualifications: MD/DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry Strong knowledge of psychiatry, community mental health & relevant laws Leadership experience & ability to supervise clinical teams ????
