X-Ray Tech Location: North Bergen, NJ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,534 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: X-ray Technologist Profession: Radiology Tech Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 0 years; Preferred 2-3 years License: New Jersey State License Certifications: AHA-approved BLS Certification, ARRT in Radiography R.T.(R) Must-Have: - Imaging techniques - Patient positioning - C-Arm - Portable imaging - Clienttion safety - ALARA - BLS - PACS - Communication - Punctuality - Patient care - Teamwork Description: The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. They perform essential job functions, which include producing diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and providing immobilization devices. They select proper technical factors based on individual patient needs and operate equipment as required for specific procedures. This role involves restricting radiation beams to ensure non-exposure of radiation to unaffected parts of the patient. The technologist also performs portable x-ray examinations in various settings, including patient rooms and operating rooms. Operational procedures are followed to identify patient films with appropriate markings. They develop exposed x-ray films using available processing methods. Patient requisitions must be completed accurately, including technologist initials, date, number, and size of film. Maintaining an orderly work environment is required as directed by departmental leadership. They prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist physicians in administering these mixtures to patients. Administrative duties related to scheduling appointments and patient instructions are performed as necessary. They provide assistance to all patients based on individual needs regarding mobility and positioning. The role includes physical demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods. Identifying the needs of the patient population served is essential, and care must be modified to meet those needs. Effective communication with patients and caregivers is required at their appropriate level. Adherence to organizational competencies is mandatory.
