Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Elmira, NY Agency: Medical Edge Recruitment Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (13 Week Contract) Overview: Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic labor and delivery team in Elmira, NY, for an exciting 13-week contract. Pay Package: Weekly gross pay of $2,448.00 $68 per hour $102 per hour overtime rate Required Skills: Valid New York RN license Minimum of 2 years’ experience in labor and delivery or maternal health Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association Proficiency in monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs during labor and postpartum Ability to perform cervical checks and assess labor progression Skilled in evaluating contraction patterns and documenting labor stages Capable of responding to labor-related complications such as fetal distress or preeclampsia Experience assisting in vaginal and cesarean deliveries Competence in maintaining sterile environments and neonatal resuscitation Strong collaboration skills with OB/GYNs, midwives, and healthcare teams Preferred Education and Experience: Relevant clinical experience in labor and delivery within an acute care setting for at least 2 years. Prior experience performing neonatal resuscitation and managing obstetric emergencies. Other Requirements: Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts Must hold a current, valid RN license in New York State No additional travel or licensing requirements specified; local travel may be involved based on placement Why Choose Medical Edge?
