Job Description Job Description Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Labor & Delivery Location: Ithaca, NY Assignment Type: Contract / Travel Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension) Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (Days or Nights Available) Pay Rate: $44–$55 per hour Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Labor & Delivery experience to support a busy obstetrics unit. This role requires scrub experience for cesarean sections and the ability to assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum patient care when not in the operating room. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both clinical and surgical environments. Responsibilities Scrub and assist during cesarean section procedures Support labor, delivery, and postpartum patients when not assigned to surgery Monitor and record vital signs for laboring and postpartum patients Assist with delivery room setup and turnover Perform bed changes and restocking of supplies Assist with newborn circumcisions Conduct newborn hearing screenings Provide general patient support and comfort measures Maintain infection control and patient safety standards Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the obstetrics care team Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years of recent LPN experience Proven scrub experience for C-sections Strong knowledge of labor, delivery, and postpartum workflows Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Licensure & Certifications Active LPN license (State of New York or eligible) BLS certification (AHA preferred) For more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
