Job Description Job Description Description: Are you a skilled
and passionate Veterinary Technician most interested in specialty
medicine? At Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital we are
seeking a Specialty Technician to join our dedicated team. We are
looking for individuals with prior experience ideally in specialty
medicine, including but not limited to oncology, surgery,
cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology, etc. Key Responsibilities: ·
Assist in appointments and ensure smooth workflow to best aid the
specialty doctors. · Accurately enter charges for consultations and
procedures (e.g., radiographs, FNA’s bandaging, etc.) · Develop
proficiency in radiographs, iv catheter placement, blood draws and
sedation to support appointments · Create and review estimates for
various procedures · Communicate with pet owners, answer questions,
and provide detailed procedure explanations. · Help facilitate the
best communication between specialists and pet owners. · Monitor
scheduling and manage appointments efficiently. · Assist with
specialty procedures such as endoscopy, chemotherapy, bandaging,
sedation, etc. Qualifications: · Work alongside a team of
specialists dedicated to the highest quality of veterinary care. ·
