Join a leading addiction recovery center in the Finger Lakes region to provide compassionate med-surg and behavioral health nursing care for adults in recovery in the scenic Finger Lakes region./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Trumansburg, NY (near Ithaca, 14850) — Ithaca NY nursing jobs / Finger Lakes/n - Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (Travel RN assignment)/n - Unit: Med-Surg at a leading addiction recovery center – Men's Residence (behavioral health / addiction recovery)/n - Start Date: March 30, 2026/n - End Date: June 29, 2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shifts: Variable (Days / Nights / Weekends), 5 x 8-hour shifts per week/n - Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)/n - Number of Positions: 3/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,120 - $2,230/n /n/nMed-Surg RN Requirements/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State/n - Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg nursing experience; behavioral health or addiction recovery experience a plus/n - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred/n - BLS certification required (AHA preferred)/n - CPI certification or willingness to complete within 3 months of hire/n - Successful completion of medication competency exam (medication administration experience required)/n /n/nResponsibilities (Med-Surg / Behavioral Health)/n /n - Maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care for clients as a Med-Surg Registered Nurse/n - Conduct physical and mental health assessments, including vital signs, risk assessments, and withdrawal assessments/n - Administer and monitor treatment regimens and prescribed medications; ensure medication safety and control of drugs/n - Observe, document, and report behavioral changes and clinical findings to the interdisciplinary healthcare team/n - Triage emergent medical issues and coordinate appropriate care with providers and emergency services/n - Document all care accurately and in a timely manner following regulatory standards/n - Provide clinical supervision and direction to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and other clinical staff/n - Respect cultural and religious practices of patients and promote a patient-centered, recovery-focused environment/n - Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities to ensure regulatory compliance/n - Perform other position-related duties as assigned/n /n/n /n Experience the rewarding challenge of supporting individuals in recovery while enjoying the Ithaca area’s scenic parks, vibrant arts scene, and lively downtown.
