Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Director of Operations for a great opportunity in the New York, NY area. The ideal candidate will possess 10 years of experience in casual-upscale multi-unit restaurants. The Director of Operations will Upscale casual full-service Restaurant company with Multiple locations in the NY metro area has an immediate opportunity for a Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.
Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
Develop and implements human resource strategies, policies and goals
Supports strategic objective
Hires staff and negotiates employment agreements
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to human resource
Manages employee grievances and disputes
Develops and implements programs for employee development designed to enhance job satisfaction
Develops and implements onboarding procedures
Responsible for the selection and implementation of benefit packages including compensation, insurance, and bonus.
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the organization's compliance.
Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
Qualifications
5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Director
Verbal and written command of the English language (multi-lingual preferred)
Strong working knowledge of the Workday HRIS
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience operating in NYC Market
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related Hospitality field.
Master's degree preferred
SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Responsibilities of the Restaurant Director of Operations
Attain the financial objectives of the business through effective management of people, product, service and facility processes, including a focus on the revenue and profit components
Understand and modify the existing management systems including labor management systems, inventory management systems, accountability systems (including reward and recognition), logistics and communication systems (including development and feedback mechanisms)
Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
Implement processes and systems that will generate higher productivity and revenues.
Provide visible leadership to unit-level employee base (to the entire enterprise) while generating a restaurant atmosphere where the expectations of the staff and customers are exceeded routinely
Develop policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of goals related to cash flow, revenue growth, cost of goods sold, labor costs and other operating expenses on a daily basis
Increase revenue through up-selling and promotional programs, and improved employee product knowledge and training
Develop and direct the management of our Information Technology systems to ensure that all operating systems are continuously evaluated for proper operation, relevance, and utilization
Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to the CEO for consideration
Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency
Special projects as agreed with the CEO to support the business requirements of the organization
Assist CEO/Owner in the development of a multi-year strategic plan for the Enterprise
Develop annual business plans identifying key activities and priorities
Implement and communicate operational strategies and solutions in line with the company's strategic plan
Set and monitor Operational Budgets to ensure the Operation's business continuity.

Requirements of the Restaurant Director of Operations
10 years of experience with multi-unit restaurant
Successful experience in training, troubleshooting, people development, and financials
New store opening experience, preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common industry or business journals, financial reports and legal documents

Compensation for the Restaurant Director of Operations
Full-time Salary: $140,000.00 to $150,000.00 /year
Experience: casual-upscale restaurant multi-unit: 10 years
