The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and native Android application development skills.The FOX Monetization team develops and maintains display and video advertising and reporting applications across various digital platforms, supporting numerous FOX consumer-facing websites and apps. We are looking for a talented Android Application Engineer to join us in developing, maintaining, optimizing, and implementing new features for our advertising solutions.The candidate should be comfortable working with a broad range of native application technologies, have a solid understanding of Android frameworks, be proficient in Java programming, and capable of collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to create functional applications that meet product needs.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, optimize, and develop new features using GAM/IMA, FreeWheel, and other Ad tech libraries for FOX's Android applications to meet business requirements for video players, digital advertising, and analytics.
• Develop modular, scalable, and stable software solutions.
• Become an expert in online video advertising technologies.
• Collaborate with team members and internal technology groups to ensure coding standards and best practices.
• Integrate third-party plug-ins and software components into native applications.
• Support internal teams and external vendors utilizing platform components.
• Participate in meetings with internal teams and external partners.REQUIREMENTS
  • BS/MS degree in computer science or software engineering.
  • Proven experience as an app developer.
  • Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
  • Experience with native application programming.
  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks, utility libraries, testing frameworks, build tools, code repositories, development tools, and CI tools.
  • Proficiency in Java programming.
  • Experience with Android SDK and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Android back-end services and design principles.
  • React Native development experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented libraries and continuous integration practices.NICE TO HAVE

Benefits for union-represented employees are governed by collective bargaining agreements.
