Interstate Waste Services, a leader in sustainable waste management in the Northeast U.S., is looking for a dedicated Overnight Waste Collection CDL Driver to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our community environments through responsible waste collection. Ideal candidates are those who seek to uphold our commitment to safety, sustainability, and outstanding service. Operate waste collection vehicles to collect residential and commercial waste and recyclables according to predetermined schedules and routes. Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operations. Adhere to all safety protocols, including traffic laws and waste handling procedures. Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors to report delays or safety concerns. Work cooperatively with team members to ensure timely completion of routes. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle. Assist in the reporting of any incidents or environmental concerns encountered during collection. Proficiency in operating Class A or Class B Commercial Vehicles. In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. Ability to perform physical tasks and lift weights of up to 50 pounds. Strong time management and route navigation skills.
