Job Description Manages and coordinates the Integrated Logistics
Support functions for assigned programs. Prepares and maintains
Logistics technical and management plans and Supportability Plans.
Serves as Supportability Lead for programs as assigned. Possesses
diversified knowledge of logistics engineering principles, which
will be necessary to complete general goals and objectives.
- Manages the establishment of budgets and schedules for
Logistics requirements on assigned program(s). Performs duties as
Cost Account Manager for Supportability and Logistics program tasks
as appropriate for programs supported.
- Evaluates Commercial Product Support Agreement (PSA) and
Customer Support Agreement (CSA) requirements for
ILS/Maintainability/Reliability compliance and coordinates with
- Manages the collection of Supportability Metrics on all
- Influences system design through Logistics innovations to
reduce Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) for
- Manages the analysis and optimization of the performance of the
projects Support System.
- Manages and reviews the development of formal Product Training
to include plans, materials and Instructor/Classroom training.
- Manages and reviews the development of Product Support Analysis
(PSA), Logistics Product Data (LPD), Life Cycle Cost Analysis
(LCC), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Support System trade-off
- Manages and reviews the development of technical manual
development plans, materials development, verification and
validations for programs supported.
- Reviews and assesses Request for Proposals/Requests for
Quotations (RFP/RFQs) to determine Maintainability and Logistics
requirements. Prepares and/or manages preparation of the cost
inputs and Logistics volume/sections for programs supported.
- Proactively leads the establishment and maintenance of good
internal and external customer relations on assigned program(s) to
position the program(s) to capture additional work for programs
- Develops and implements the Company's philosophy of operation
and associated policies and procedures for ILS design/support
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of ILS processes and
assures compliance of company approved ISO-9001 quality management
techniques, throughout assigned areas.
- Directs report preparations, analyses of designs and tests.
Contributes to specifications for customer and/or other engineering
or design groups within department's field of responsibility.
- Manages and reviews Military Supply Support and Commercial
provisioning (S, T, U, W, X and Z-files) program(s) based on
customer requirements or the latest S1000D standards.
- Responsible for field support of off-site ILS engineering
design support provided during the pre-production phases of a
program and Maintenance and Repair activities supporting either
Customer production deliveries or Customer owned product at their
- Directs Supply Chain Management (SCM) of customer assets and
reports status of fielded equipment modifications.
- Reviews field support requirements and recommends tools and
Support Equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field
- Manages Maintainability program and/or conducts Mean Time To
Repair (MTTR) analysis, conducts Maintainability demonstrations and
completes Maintainability design evaluation to customer
requirements, CK1011 Maintainability Design Checklist and
- Manages and reviews the development of Test Requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree in a
technical or scientific field or its equivalent
+10 years experience in logistics engineering or related
engineering disciplines (i.e., reliability, maintainability,
safety, field engineering and/or military technical field
experience). Must exercise discretion and independent judgment in
the performance of duties. Communicates effectively both orally and
in writing. Exhibits sound interpersonal skills involving
interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel,
customers and suppliers. Utilizes computer skills to prepare
appropriate reports and documents. Makes decisions using sound
judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate
principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems
within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule. Design
and develop products and services using Logistics state-of-the-art
technology, principles, theories and concepts.
Experienced in computer skills to include Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint. Relational Database skills include TOAD, BART and
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree in
Electrical Engineering +10 years experience in logistics
engineering or related engineering disciplines (i.e., reliability,
maintainability, safety, field engineering and/or military
technical field experience). Conduct Reliability Review and analyze
the design using reliability and MTBF/NFF assumptions to create a
cost impact assessment of contractual Reliability Remedies. Manage
the Field Reliability resources that support other functions
focused on field returns and dashboard metrics. Develops and
implements policies and procedures for RMS design responsibility to
include approval of Deviations to Electrical Stress Derating &
Survivability Analysis. Responsible for Reliability and Electrical
Stress Derating & Survivability Analysis tools and
Working knowledge of Arbortext, TOAD, HDA, BART, Oracle, WRR,
ESAT and MIDAS. Experience with Boeing's Supplier Portal and
