Senior Consultant-UX ResearcherInfosys Consulting, the management and technology consulting unit of Infosys Ltd, is seeking talented design professionals to advocate for users and collaborate with cross-functional teams while achieving business goals. Motivated UX Researcher pursuing long-term growth and career-enhancing opportunities will find both as part of our team of front-runners in our Banking and Financial Services practice
About the Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will work on strategic programs dealing with complex, industry-specific requirements, while further deepening knowledge in your respective area of specialization. You will independently deliver high quality solutions and actively build key client relationships.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop user research plans and objectives, recruit users, create contextual inquiry guides, and develop qualitative surveys
  • Conduct/moderate stakeholder, client, user interviews, and usability tests
  • Create and conduct and usability tests and incorporate the findings into design decisions
  • Collaborate with and obtain buy-in from designers, product owners, and IT stakeholders on research activities, strategy, ideation, concepts, final design, and testing of new product concepts
  • Build empathy and be an advocate for cross-functional users (FAs, investors, etc.) by employing human-centered research and design
  • Create and maintain persona library, empathy maps, journey maps
  • Present research synthesis findings, voice of user, and design concept recommendations to stakeholders, developers, and other key partners
  • Support design of research-based interactive applications that are simple, convenient, and intuitive
  • Translate user needs, existing design systems, and requirements into new products/services
  • Support the creation of design deliverables such as concepts, napkin sketches, wireframes, story boards, journey maps and service blueprints
  • Participate in design reviews, clearly rationalize and justify design work with research based insights
  • Employ the latest UX research techniques and tools and stay at the forefront of technology trends
  • Understand business, operations, technical stakeholder concerns and represent them in approach and outcomes of research and design initiatives
  • Work closely with product owners to facilitate vision and strategy in research initiatives
    Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
    • Proven ability to lead projects, build strong and effective business relationships
    • Passion for understanding the latest learnings and innovations in behavioral science, research methods, and UX design and applying these to your work
    • Ability to facilitate discussions, analyze and de-construct problems, develop structured solutions and categorize challenges in the project environment
    • Highly motivated with strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skills
    • Must be willing to travel for client projects as needed. U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time
    • Live to within 2 hours' drive time or be willing to relocate to one of the following Infosys hub offices / locations - Bridgewater, NJ; Raleigh, NC; Boston, MA; New York City, NY
      Preferred Qualifications
      • 3+ years of proven success conducting UX research, in either B2B or consumer-facing product development environment
      • BS in Human Centered Design & Engineering, Human Factors, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, or similar
      • Experience with ethnographic techniques, contextual inquiry, user insight generation, both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
      • Working knowledge of human-centered design principles (e.g. Design Thinking)
      • A portfolio that demonstrates past work experience and deliverables (e.g., how your research informed decision-making)
      • Excellent command of generative user research methodologies
      • Strategic, business-building approach to research with a passion for translating data into bottom-line impact
      • Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity
      • Familiarity with remote, commercial research and testing platforms (e.g., Usertesting.com, Userlytics)
