ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The criteria for an evaluation in this position include but are not
limited to the following:
Ability to manage and oversee production an maintenance of crushing
and screening equipment.
Ability to monitor material quality control.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of heavy
equipment, including loaders, excavators, etc.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate rock crushing
machinery.
Is familiar with and incorporates information from the manuals for
the individual equipment being operated.
Communicates with Quarry Manager as to the daily job
specifications; operates the equipment in a safe and efficient
manner.
Performs daily pre-use safety inspection and maintenance
procedures, i.e., note the service due date, check fluid levels and
make sure the equipment to be used is in good running order,
complete vehicle condition report, etc.
Discusses with management the anticipated production, material
being produced, number of trucks, etc.
Is aware of other equipment at the site and coordinates to work
safely and efficiently with the other equipment.
Keeps equipment clean and properly maintained, promptly verifying
if the equipment needs repair or service.
Ability to follow directions.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Displays a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers,
supervisors, and the general public at all times.
Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin
work at the designated start time.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined
in the Policies, Programs & Procedures Manual.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or
supervisors with other duties as required.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Individuals wear personal protective equipment in designated
operations and production areas as required by OSHA and/or MSHA and
company policy. Protective equipment that may be required for this
position includes, but is not limited to: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses,
High Visibility Safety Apparel, Gloves, Hearing Protection,
Respiratory Protection, and Safety (hard toe) boots.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here represent those
an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of

performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in
outside weather conditions to perform the essential functions of
this job successfully he employee occasionally works near moving
mechanical parts. Traffic patterns and traveling public are
included in the work environment. The noise level in the work
environment is usually loud.
