Job Description:

Line Operator ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely and efficiently operate canning and packaging equipment, clear jams, change out packaging components. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and manual pallet jacks.Read and interpret work orders, machine operating instructions; interact with and basic MES and ERP softwareRead and understand Human Machine Interface screens and alarms.Maintain quality of the packaging process and report issues when they arise in a timely manner to the mechanic and supervisorRead and interpret product specifications, ensuring through the manufacturing process that product is produced within specification.Accurately perform in-process product testing, documenting result effectivelyUse of critical thinking and problem solving, maintain proper understanding of the manufacturing process and escalate deviations appropriately.Maintain a clean working area, disposing of waste, cleaning floor, work surfaces, and around equipment.Communicate with Material Handlers to ensure all production components are never in shortage.Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with peers, ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.Support maintenance team during changeover process -Line Operator QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentTwo or more years relevant experience with demonstrated ability to work in a high speed production environment preferredComputer skills preferredAbility to build and maintain positive working relationships with peers, ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively - Solid problem solving and decision making skillsAbility to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environmentMust be available to support shift, weekend and holiday schedules as required. Overtime as neededFollow all safety policies and proceduresWillingness and ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations at timesAbility to lift 40lbs, Use of step ladders, platforms, pallet jacks and forklifts
