Job Description:
Summary
This position is located at the Tobyhanna Depot's Family and
Morale, Welfare and Recreation Post Restaurant.
This position is a Flexible (Flex) position and there are 0
guaranteed hours per week. Flex employees are not entitled to leave
or benefits. There is no upper limit to the number of hours a
flexible employee may work (subject to overtime obligations and
work scheduling requirements).

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S.
or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years
immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties
- Works under general supervision.
- Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways and common areas.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using
brooms, mops, lightweight equipment such as vacuum cleaners and
lightweight floor scrubbers, waxes, and buffers.
- Provides and replenishes toiletries and room condiments. Notes
condition of room and report any conditions requiring maintenance
or repair.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this
position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify)
check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks
in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical
examination.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background
investigation for a Common Access Card for physical
access to federally controlled facilities.
- Light physical effort is required such as walking on hard and
carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and
pulling of items and carts weighing up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications
Applicant must be able to follow simple oral instructions and use
hand or light weight powered cleaning tools and equipment which
generally require no prior training or previous work
experience.
Skill and Knowledge:
1. Ability to follow simple oral instructions and read signs.
2. Basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, cleaning tools, and
equipment.
3. Ability to use light weight power cleaning tools as described
above. (No previous training or work experience is required for
these tools.)
4. Capable of removing different kinds of stains from a wide
variety of surfaces.
5. Ability to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor
repair and maintenance of equipment.
