Fairmount Homes is hiring a Resident Assistant or Med Tech to join our Personal Care / Assisted Living team! You'll serve elderly residents during a pivotal time in their care journey, offering compassion, dignity, and heartfelt support. Personal Care Resident Assistant / Med Tech Pay:

• $19.45 - $21.30 hour, + $1.25 / hr weekend shift differential Position Summary:
  The Resident Assistant/Med Tech provides supportive care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans and under the direction of supervisory staff. This role is essential in promoting residents' dignity and independence while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
  Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, eating, ambulation, etc.)
  • Support residents with room tidiness, laundry, and telephone use
  • Assist in the dining room-serve drinks, meals, and help with food choices
  • Administer medications and perform treatments (for Level 2 Med Techs with current certification)
  • Accurately document resident information in electronic and paper records
  • Report any changes in residents' conditions to supervisory staff
  • Take and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
  • Assist with resident activities and social engagement
  • Attend required trainings and team meetings
  • Comply with infection control, safety procedures, HIPAA, and corporate compliance standards

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Med Techs must have a current PA Personal Care Home Medication Certification
    • Must be able to meet physical and emotional demands of the role
    • Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful or emergency situations
    • Basic computer skills for electronic documentationPhysical & Sensory Requirements:
      This position involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling, and reaching. Must be able to hear, see, speak, smell, and feel tactile sensations regularly. Composure under pressure and the ability to respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations is essential.
