A private label retailer specializing in commercial appliances is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Development Specialist to manage and support the development and sourcing of new products. This role plays a critical part in bringing products from concept to production by working closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and alignment with brand standards.Responsibilities Include:

• Manage the full product development lifecycle from concept through final production.
• Source components and materials from domestic and international suppliers, ensuring quality, price competitiveness, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to oversee prototyping, testing, and production timelines.
• Monitor and track project progress, identifying risks and implementing solutions to avoid delays.
• Collaborate with internal teams including design, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment throughout the development process.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, including technical specs, cost breakdowns, and vendor communications.
• Ensure all products meet brand standards and compliance requirements.
• Support product improvement initiatives based on market feedback and performance data.Ideal Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in product development, sourcing, or supply chain coordination.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with manufacturers and vendors.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with commercial appliances or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and product tracking tools.
