The Admissions Specialist will speak to prospective Penn Foster
students via telephone, at all times endeavoring to serve their
best interests by learning their goals, identifying an educational
program that will help them achieve those goals, and motivating
them to begin that program using exceptional, enthusiastic service
that consistently exceeds expectations. The Specialist will employ
as a hospitality-based sales methodology to encourage
This position is on-site at our Scranton, PA campus, conveniently
located off of Interstate 81, and offers over 100,000 square feet
of meeting and workspace.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in facilitating the enrollment process via telephone
- Develop/maintain in-depth working knowledge of Penn Foster
programs/courses and related policies/procedures through regular
training and development sessions
- Contact students to determine decision status, answer
questions, encourage enrollment and/or registration (follow-up via
phone, email, text and video messaging)
- Must be able to perform in a Blended environment of Inbound
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Basic computing skills.
- Sales experience a plus.
- Bi-lingual a plus.
To be an Admissions Specialist role requires a High School diploma
or GED. College preferred.

Physical Job Requirements and Demands
The Admissions Specialist can expect to sit for lengthy periods of
time in an office environment, and will spend the majority of their
shift on the phone talking to prospective students.

The Admissions Specialist is an hourly wage position, and is
eligible for overtime, as dictated by business needs. The Fair and
