RESPONSIBILITIES: * Direct building/facility/equipment and PIT maintenance, sanitation, safety per government, AIB, OSHA, EPA and/ or company standards. * Assist in developing annual budget and plan for building and equipment maintenance. Selects, orders and manage inventory for materials and equipment required to maintain buildings and grounds, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment and phone systems. * Develops and maintains Capital Budget projects and workflow. * Establish or utilize a maintenance schedule for the upkeep and repair of all building and facility equipment based on manufacturer specifications. * Track and process invoices, timesheets, PIT reports and records of expenditures for building and equipment maintenance and services. * Manage all contractors and 3rd party maintenance vendors who complete work on the building or equipment located in the facility. * Administer a hot work program for all associated internal work or work by 3rd party vendors. * Direct or assist in maintenance of buildings, site/ landscaping and warehouse equipment (i.e. conveyors, dock levelers, stamp machines, compressors, refrigeration equipment, PIT, etc.) * Make immediate repairs to key conveyor systems when system interruption or failure occurs. * Direct or assist in maintenance, repairs, and monitoring of plumbing, electrical, HVAC (heat/ AC), fire alarm and/ or security systems, and facility fire extinguishers. * Direct a PIT battery care and maintenance program for the facility. Includes coordination and administration of re-watering program. * Manage the general cleaning or vendor sanitation services for the facility. * Maintain a safe and healthful working environment by promoting safety at all levels of the operation, administer a Lock-out/Tag-Out program and conducting required training per OSHA and Division standards. * Manage and become a steward of the company safety program. * Ensure that all material handling equipment is serviced and kept in safe operating condition. * Conduct annual performance management to encourage and foster professional growth of employees. * Performs other duties as required or outlined by Operations Manager. SKILLS/ EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: * Prefer 2 year technical college degree or higher and 5+ years of applicable work experience. Applicable work experience or technical training to be considered as well. * Prefer background, knowledge and experience with broadline distribution warehouse facilities. * Require 3-5 years or more of supervising or managing a department or team. * Require computer experience with using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP. Experience with Facilities Maintenance Software a plus. * Prefer experience and knowledge of Automated Conveyor systems, associated PLC systems and ability to troubleshoot or repair of each. Experience with cigarette stamp equipment a plus. * Prefer experience and knowledge of operating and maintaining conventional refrigeration and HVAC equipment. * Prefer experience and knowledge of maintaining PIT equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks) * Must follow and administer working condition guidelines as outlined by OSHA, NEC, EPA or local/state codes. * Experience or training in AIB, HACCP a plus. * May be required to work night and weekend shifts to support key hours of operations within the facility. * Prefer experience with maintaining and/ or repairing Pallet Racking systems per Local codes and Industry standards. * Ability to lead, mentor, teach and develop a high performing team. This will be a management position with direct reports. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Stand; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hand and arms. * The employee frequently is required to walk and stand throughout their work shift. * The employee is occasionally required to stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. * The employee must also be able to stand and bend off and on for numerous hours. * The employee must regularly lift a/o move up to 20 lbs., frequently lift or move 25 lbs., and occasionally lift or move up to 40 lbs. * Normal office environment. May require sustained periods on warehouse floor * Work in areas that may be -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
