Job Description:

Kane Partners is searching for a Maintenance Technician for a Food Production company in the Greater Reading area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy farm machinery

- Perform routine preventative maintenance on tractors, combines, tillage equipment, and harvesters

- Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment complies with regulatory standards

- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on tasks

- Operate and test equipment to ensure proper functionality after repairs

- Order and manage inventory of tools and replacement parts

- Weld, fabricate, or modify parts and equipment when necessary

- Provide emergency field support during peak planting and harvest seasons

- Collaborate with farm management to schedule repairs and maintenance around operations

- Keep the shop organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations


Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and systems.

- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

- Familiarity with food safety regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus.
