Job Description:
Facilities Maintenance Technician Position Summary: We are
seeking a highly skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance
Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a
crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and
repair of our building systems and infrastructure. This role will
involve performing routine and emergency repairs, maintaining the
facilitys mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and
ensuring the safety and functionality of all facility equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular
inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical,
plumbing, and other building systems to ensure optimal
functionality. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair
issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, lighting,
doors, windows, and general building maintenance. Safety
Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with
safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA and local building
codes. Conduct safety checks to maintain a safe working environment
for employees and visitors. Work Orders: Respond to work orders in
a timely manner and provide effective solutions to facility-related
problems. Maintain a record of all work performed. Equipment
Maintenance: Perform maintenance and minor repairs on facility
equipment, including but not limited to appliances, generators,
elevators, and fire protection systems. Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for
specialized repairs, equipment installation, or maintenance as
needed. Facility Inspections: Conduct routine facility inspections
and report any discrepancies or areas of concern to management,
ensuring that the facility is in excellent working condition at all
times. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of maintenance
tools, supplies, and equipment. Ensure that adequate stock levels
are maintained for critical supplies and materials. Emergency
Response: Be on-call or available to respond to emergencies after
hours for urgent repairs or facility-related issues.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Certification or vocational training in facilities maintenance,
electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related field (preferred). Minimum
of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar
technical role. Strong knowledge of building systems, including
HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and
safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work
independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills for work order systems, inventory management,
and reporting. Availability for after-hours emergency calls and
