and experienced Specification Sales Representative to join our
dynamic and growing sales team. Job Description: As a Specification
Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting our
materials to architectural, design, and construction firms in New
York City and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for
developing leads, building relationships, understanding customer
needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process from initial contact to
order completion. The ideal candidate should be proactive,
results-driven, and possess excellent communication and
presentation skills. Key Responsibilities: Acquire and maintain
comprehensive product and industry knowledge to effectively
represent our materials. Identify architectural and design firms
that align with our product offerings and target market. Expand
existing business within the defined territory by nurturing
relationships and providing exceptional customer service. Conduct
product presentations, library updates, lunch & learns, and attend
various industry events to engage with targeted firms. Provide the
design community with specification documents, budgetary pricing,
and samples as needed. Document all sales activities and customer
interactions in the company CRM system. Generate material quotes
for contractors/subcontractors and manage the sales process for
projects in progress. Achieve specification sales goals and revenue
targets set by the company. Follow up on assigned leads from
outside the territory and identify opportunities for new business
development. Develop relationships with commercial end-users to
directly promote our materials and services. Provide monthly
pipeline reports to track progress and identify areas for
improvement. Document, track, and follow through on all known
project specifications from initial spec to order completion.
Actively participate in local chapter trade associations such as
AIA, ASID, IIDA, CSI, etc., to stay connected with industry trends
and opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business
Administration, Marketing, Architecture, or related field
preferred. Proven experience in specification sales within the
building materials industry. Strong understanding of architectural
and design processes, including knowledge of construction materials
and specifications. Excellent communication, presentation, and
interpersonal skills. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability
to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in CRM
