Reporting to the EHS Director, you will guide Health & Safety,
Environmental Compliance, and Sustainability across Eastern region
Food & Specialty facilities—partnering with plant leaders to
deliver measurable results and uphold Trivium’s Passion, Teamwork,
and Excellence. Your mission Enable every site you support to meet
or exceed Trivium Safety Indicators, strengthen ISO-based systems,
and hit sustainability milestones—through hands-on visits,
coaching, and data-driven decisions. How you’ll make an impact
Visit plants regularly for audits, check-ins, incident
investigations, and targeted training. Lead risk assessments;
implement standards and procedures (including ISO 45001 where
applicable); execute internal and cross-audits. Create Trivium
standards and guidance documents; organize key meetings; monitor
safety activities and systems. Influence Plant Management to
deliver BU initiatives; surface H&S concerns to Plant
Managers/Manufacturing Director as needed. Validate accident
investigation quality and provide coaching; ensure monthly H&S
KPIs are accurate and timely; contribute to annual PDR targets for
plant leaders. Support Risk Management, Insurance, and Workers’
Compensation topics when relevant. Design, maintain, and train on
comprehensive EHS&S programs; assist sites with EHS&S SOP
creation and training. Use analytics to identify high-impact
improvements and prioritize EHS&S KPI gains. Steward
sustainability data and roadmap planning aligned to Trivium’s
long-term strategy. Serve as Environmental Management
Representative for ISO 14001 systems. Ensure conformance with RCRA,
DOT, EPA, and state regulations. Own environmental reports such as
Tier II, Form R, biennial waste, and Emission Inventory. Maintain
environmental plans: SWPPP, SPCC, Hazardous Waste Contingency, and
Emergency Response. Develop constructive relationships with
environmental and safety agencies; take part in corporate EHS
system audits. Model and reinforce Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP
principles, and Food Safety Standards. What you bring Outstanding
written and verbal communication; skilled trainer/facilitator.
Ability to lead through influence—coaching, mentoring, and
coordinating cross-functional teams. People-centric, high-energy
style with adaptability to changing priorities. Strong auditing
capability across principles, processes, and management systems.
Comfort engaging with municipal and state regulators. Lean
manufacturing familiarity; Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficiency.
Sharp problem-solving and continuous improvement orientation.
Credentials 5 years managing EHS&S programs. BS in a relevant
technical field. Preferred certifications: CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001. Logistics Reporting to:
EHS Director. Direct reports: None. Travel: Approximately 25–40%
across the Eastern region. As business needs evolve, additional
responsibilities may be assigned.
