Achieve with us. Position: Art & Community Coach/Direct Support
Professional Salary : $41974 yearly Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday or
Sunday-Thursday 9AM-5:30PM (Hours may vary) Location: Walton, New
York Responsibilities: To provide person-centered support by
fostering creativity, inclusion, and self-expression through
participation in art studio activities and community art events.
Job Duties: Teach and support people utilizing individualized
teaching techniques. Advocate with people to live their best life
(making choices, enhancing confidence & assertiveness) Work
cooperatively with other staff, artists, individual team members,
and community partners to deliver a cohesive, person-centered
program. Work as a Direct Support Professional as needed.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Creative
problem-solving mindset. Ability to make good decisions quickly,
based on analysis, experience, and judgment. Organized,
solution-oriented, and adaptable. Competent in active listening,
teaching, curriculum development, task analysis, behavior
management, person-centered planning, and advocacy. Professional
written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Valid NYS Driver’s License with acceptable driving record CPR &
First Aid preferred (training available for the right candidate).
